7: After the Operation: From the Surgery
to the First Fill (From Surgery to 8 Weeks)
From the time the surgery is completed to the time you get your first fill may
be as much as a two months. Many things happen during this time. For one thing,
your initial recovery takes place during those first few days. This is why we
want to cover as much as possible everything you need to know and what to expect
from the time you leave surgery and when you are released to return home. There
is a simple troubleshooting guide near the end of the book; it offers information
that will help you get through the recovery stage.
Note: The first eight weeks can determine your success or failure with the LAP-BAND.
