Dr. Ortiz is one of a small group of surgeons that have done the highest number of
surgeries (mainly LAP-BANDS) than other surgeons in North America. He is among the
leaders in this growing medical procedure that offers sound weight loss control,
in addition, he has the honor of having trained dozens of bariatric surgeons in
the United States. For his outstanding proctoring, he is designated as one of the
